Arco dei Gavi, an ancient Roman triumphal arch, is located near Castelvecchio in Verona, Italy. Built in the 1st century AD by L. Vitruvius Cerdo, it's notable for its elegant Corinthian fluted columns and richly sculpted architrave, which provide excellent opportunities for detailed close-up photography. The arch marks the entry to the Decumanus Maximus, the main east-west road of ancient Verona. Pay special attention to the interior reliefs and inscriptions, as they capture the essence of Roman craftsmanship. Early morning light enhances the texture of the stone, offering optimal conditions for capturing its detailed carvings and overall grandeur amidst fewer crowds.
