The Arco de Fontorto is a beautiful ancient stone arch located in Viladaíde, Spain. The arch is an impressive structure with two entrance points and two pillars which were constructed in the 13th century in the village of Viladaíde. Visitors can explore and discover the history of the arch, which was initially built as a symbol of freedom. It is said that it was created to ward off bad luck for the local people in the area. It is now a major landmark of the region of Segovia and is also used as a meeting point for different cultural and religious festivals throughout the year. The arch is surrounded by lush green grass and meadows, creating a stunning landscape which is perfect for a peaceful stroll or an afternoon of relaxation. Visitors can also enjoy the views of the nearby Sierra de Guadarrama mountain range. There is a small entrance fee to enter the site, which can be covered with a regular ticket.
