📍 From Statues, France
Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is a monument in Paris, France, located between the Louvre and the Tuileries Gardens. It was built between 1806 and 1808 to commemorate the military victories of Napoleon I. The arch is modelled on the original Arch of Titus in Rome, though on a much smaller scale. The arch is adorned with sculptures depicting the victories of Napoleon, including the Napoleonic Wars and his campaigns in Egypt, Spain and Italy. Beneath the arch is the tomb of the Unknown Soldier of the Great War, placed there in 1921. The area around Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel is a popular point for shooting interesting photos with its grandeur, reflecting pool, and central location in the heart of historic Paris.
