Arc Da Rua Augusta is a must-see attraction in the beautiful city of Lisbon, Portugal. Located in the heart of the city and on the border of the Baixa district, the arc is a 81-meter-high structure built between 1875 and 1879 in a neoclassical style to commemorate the city's reconstruction after the 1755 earthquake. It has two large columns and two towers on top with a bronze statue of King Joseph I, and can be seen from many areas in Lisbon. It is a popular spot for postcard-perfect photos and a well-known landmark in Lisbon. Visitors will also find the Monument to the Independence of Portugal near the arc, which was also built to commemorate the reconstruction of Lisbon. Both structures are stunningly beautiful, and together make the perfect spot for a quick stop during a walk in Lisbon. Don't miss out on the opportunity to take a picture of this stunning spot.
