Ara di Marco Nonio Balbo is an important archaeological site located in Ercolano, Italy. It is the remains of a 4th-century BC shrine adjacent to a Roman villa, connected to the Naples-Baiae road. The site is made up of an atrium, garden, terme, baths, kitchens, and votive altar. It is an important example of how the Romans utilized the terrain of the area for their economic, social, and religious purposes. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997 and is visited by many interested in the history of classical antiquity. Today, visitors can see the ruins of a grand villa of Roman antiquity and the votive offering of Classical marble sculpture. As well as a variety of artifacts and artworks that have been unearthed. A path leads visitors to the nearby Museo Archeologico del Campi Flegrei, which holds many of the archaeological finds from the area.
