The Apollon Temple, in Turkey, is one of the most impressive archaeological sites in the country. Built by the Greeks around The 4th century BC,it is located between Dalyan and Gokoy in Elmali. Here, a construction that was attributed to six different gods was established, one being Apollon who is believed to have been worshiped in this very area by the locals.

Archaeological excavations of the ancient temple revealed a number of unusual artifacts, including the remains of a monumental gate, evidence of a bronze workshop, and numerous stone altars. A number of unusual high reliefs have been found in its walls, depicting deities, warriors, and other figures. Today, visitors can access the venue by taking a ferry or a bus. The Apollon Temple offers an unforgettable experience with its well-preserved ruins and spectacular landscape, becoming one of the most important cultural sites in the region. This once-significant temple is now surrounded by shops and restaurants offering souvenirs and refreshments, making it the perfect place to take a break from sightseeing.
