📍 Germany
The Anzeiger-Hochhaus, or Anzeiger Tower in Hannover, Germany, is a 98m (322 foot) tall skyscraper. It was built in 1962 and served as the headquarters of Hannover's daily newspaper, the Hannoversche Allgemeine Zeitung, until 2013. It is now a multi-purpose building, with offices, retail stores, apartments, and a hotel. It stands out among the various modern offices and buildings in the city center, and can be easily seen from various spots around the city. The Anzeiger Tower has a rich architectural history, with influences from the Bauhaus, Expressionist, and Postmodernist styles. Those looking for a one-of-a-kind view of the city should head to the Tower’s look-out platform, located on the 48th floor. Be sure to check in advance regarding the opening times of the platform, as they’re likely to change depending on the season. You won’t regret it, as the view from 211m (692 feet) up is simply amazing!
