Anse Chastanet is a sheltered Caribbean beach at Mamin, just north of Soufrière on Saint Lucia’s mountainous west coast. Its dark volcanic sand, clear turquoise water and densely forested slopes reflect the island’s volcanic character, while offshore coral reefs make the bay especially noted for snorkeling and diving. The beach opens toward views of the Pitons across the coast, adding Saint Lucia’s most recognizable peaks to wider compositions. Anse Mamin, a quieter neighboring beach, is reached by a short coastal path.
