Angkor Wat and the Southern Library are located in Krong Siem Reap, Cambodia. Angkor Wat is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the largest and best-preserved religious monuments in Southeast Asia. It dates back to the 12th century and is famous for the grandeur and beauty of its architecture. It is considered to be a symbol of Cambodia, representing a blend of several ancient cultures. Aside from the splendid main temple, the complex contains many other smaller temples, courtyards, and a large moat.

The Southern Library, located near the Angkor Wat, is a complex of approximately 70 related structures, built in the 12th to 15th centuries. It is the oldest surviving structure in the area and is famous for its elaborate wooden carvings and stone reliefs. The building contains a number of ancient texts, sculptures, and exhibitions. Krong Siem Reap is a great place to enjoy Khmer culture and a variety of sightseeing and adventure activities to suit all ages and interests. Both Angkor Wat and the Southern Library offer excellent photographic opportunities, from sunrises and sunsets to panoramic views of the 12th century structures and surrounding countryside.
