The Ancient City of Troy is an ancient ruin located in Canakkale, Turkey. This ancient metropolis has been the site of the famous Trojan War, believed to have occurred around 1250 B.C. It showcases some of the most impressive archaeological ruins in the world, with layers of civilization built upon one another from the late Bronze Age until Medieval times. There are also impressive defensive walls which were typical of the Greek cities of the time.
