American Airlines Center is a major sports and entertainment arena in Victory Park, on the northwestern edge of downtown Dallas. Opened in 2001, it is home to the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks and the NHL’s Dallas Stars, as well as a regular concert venue. Its architecture combines brick, limestone, glass, broad arches, and warehouse-inspired forms that echo older commercial buildings in the city. The most recognizable exterior views come from Victory Plaza, where the arena’s curved façade, large entrance signs, public screens, and event crowds can be framed against the nearby Dallas skyline, especially when evening light catches the glass and stone.
