Ambras Castle, in Innsbruck, Austria, is a renaissance castle located in the hills above the city centre. It was built in the 16th century by Archduke Ferdinand II of the House of Habsburg and is now a museum, offering insights into the life of the court at that time. It features beautiful chamber saloons decorated with artworks, the Spanish Hall and the Chamber of Art and Curiosities. It also hosts the Ambras Armory with an extensive collection of arms and armor, along with the original torture chamber. The castle is surrounded by the beautiful baroque gardens, where one can take a short stroll through statues and fountains, and enjoy the fresh air.
