Amalienborg Palace in København, Denmark is the home of the Danish royal family. It consists of four identical Rococo-style palaces built around an octagonal square and joined by a colonnade. Amalienborg Palace is a popular tourist attraction, and visitors can get a glimpse inside the beautiful arena of Amalienborg Hall and the chapel. A visit to the palace often includes a trip to the adjacent plaza and there is a daily changing of the guard ceremony at noon. Make sure to get there early to get a good view of the castle. A museum dedicated to the history of the palace can also be seen. There are often festivals and events taking place here and plenty of beautiful sculptures and statues around the courtyard to explore.
