Am Markte, or the Old Market Square, is a public square located in Hannover's city center. Surrounded by fine old buildings in the old town, this square is a picturesque sight and an important meeting place for Hannoverians. During festivals and holidays, many stalls and pop-up bars are placed to liven up this lively square. Also, the beautiful St. Johannis Church is nearby, with steps leading down the square. It's a great spot to take a break from sightseeing and relax in the sun. In the center of the square is a fountain where people gather to cool off in the summer. The place is bustling with bars, cafes, shops and restaurants. The area is full of greenery, perfect for a leisurely stroll.
