📍 From Aussichtsplattform am Viadukt, Germany
The Altenbekener Viaduct is a stunning 19th-century railway bridge that captivates photographers with its impressive stone architecture and sweeping arches. Spanning 482 meters with 24 arches, it's considered the longest limestone bridge in Europe. Built between 1851 and 1853, it remains an operational part of the major railway line connecting Hamm and Warburg. The viaduct offers a scenic backdrop against the lush Teutoburg Forest, especially during sunrise or blue hour, allowing for dramatic and moody shots. The Viadukt Wanderweg, a nearby walking trail, provides various vantage points ideal for capturing the structure's grandeur and integration with the landscape.
