Alte Brücke ("Old Bridge" in German) is an iconic landmark in the city of Heidelberg, Germany. It spans the Neckar river and links the Old Town area to the southern part of the city. Constructed in 1788, it has served an important role in connecting both sides of the city and is often referred to as a symbol of Heidelberg. It features two levels, one pedestrian and one car, and is decorated with statues on both sides. From the middle of the bridge, you'll have breathtaking views over the river, the Old Town and the castle. The lights at nighttime add to the enchanting atmosphere of this stunning landmark.
