The Alps is a mountain range located in Europe. This stunning range sprawls for more than 1,200 kilometres, stretching across 8 countries and a few provinces of Italy and Austria. Val de Bagnes is part of this range, in the southern part of Switzerland. It offers visitors a chance to explore a vast range of landscapes, including enormous glaciers, deep gorges, pine forests, crystal-clear lakes, and charming villages. Hikes and treks offer breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys, high summits, and peaks that reach over 4,000 metres in altitude. The range also shelters some rare species, including the endangered Alpine ibex, red deer, chamois, golden eagles, and bearded vultures. Summer and autumn provide ample opportunity for exploring, with the possibility of skiing in winter.
