The Allen Pkwy Bridge spans Buffalo Bayou in the heart of downtown Houston, Texas. It is a cable-stayed bridge and one of the most iconic structures in the city. With its four large pylons and angled steel cables, it is a spectacular sight - especially at night! The bridge is 450 meters in length and provides a vital east-west artery for the city. It is a popular spot for runners and cyclists, as it provides stunning views of the Buffalo Bayou and city skyline. The bridge also forms part of the "one-in-a-million mile" riparian trail system that stretches from the City's north to its south. Visitors to the bridge can enjoy its unique architecture and light shows, or even stop to enjoy the many cafes, restaurants and bars nearby.
