Allakuli Khan Madrassah is a stunning historical monument located in the UNESCO World Heritage-listed ancient city of Khiva in Uzbekistan. It dates back to the 19th century, and is a beautiful courtyard structure featuring turquoise and blue tiles. Inside, the mosque's walls contain exquisite Islamic paintings, calligraphy, and inscriptions in Arabic, Persian, and Turkic. Although it's not the oldest madrassah in the city, it's one of the more impressive ones and offers travelers a wonderful glimpse into the local history and culture. There are plenty of things to explore at the madrassah, including sumptuous chapels, intricate iwans, and a domed ceiling.
