Alhambra and Placeta de Toqueros in Granada, Spain, is an absolutely stunning historical site. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, it consists of Alhambra palace, Generalife palace and gardens, and the old Moorish quarter and fortress. The Alhambra resting on Sabika hilltop and the city of Granada down in the valley makes a breathtaking view. The walls of Alhambra and the gardens were designed in traditional Islamic/Andalusian Style architecture with tessellated patterns. Placeta of Toqueros, just outside Alhambra palace, is the best place to take in all the grandeur of this architectural marvel. Wander along the cobblestone streets, arcades and gaze at porticos put together amazingly. Listen carefully and you can even hear the chimes of the saetas! This is an architectural wonder that should not be missed by anyone.
