Akrobaten Bru is an iconic pedestrian bridge located in Gamle Oslo, Norway. Its name is derived from the two curved steel beams which shape the bridge, resembling an acrobat doing a backflip. This bridge crosses over Karl Johans gate alley and connects two sides of the harbor. It offers a unique viewpoint to old parts of the city. The bridge was designed by local artist Vebjørn Guttormsgaard Møllberg, who suggested its unique shape due to increased difficulty of the construction process. It is possible to see the Akrobaten bridge from the other side of the harbor, making it even more prominent and extraordinary. Visiting Akrobaten bridge is definitely a must for all travelers and photographers wanting to explore the local culture.
