📍 Indonesia
Air Terjun Benang Kelambu lies in the forested foothills of Mount Rinjani in Central Lombok Regency. Rather than dropping in one forceful column, water filters across a broad, plant-covered cliff in countless fine streams, creating the gauzy effect behind its name: “benang” means thread and “kelambu” refers to a mosquito net. Moss, ferns, dark rock, and layered cascades give the falls a distinctive texture, especially in vertical compositions that show their height and delicate veil-like pattern. The surrounding forest softens the light, while the wet greenery provides rich contrast with the pale water. Access involves walking along forest paths and steps, and the damp surfaces are part of the site’s natural character.
