📍 Mexico
The Acueducto de Tepotzotlán - Arcos de Xalpa is an incredible archaeological site near Mexico City, made up of two bridges. The taller Acueducto de Tepotzotlán is a 20-meter-high architectural gem built by the Aztecs, who added their own stylistic touches to the arches, symbols and inscriptions even though the original structure dates back to the time of the Teotihuacano civilization. The 2.5-meter-high Arcos de Xalpa, on the other hand, is the oldest of the two. It is thought to have been built as a part of a canal system built by the Teotihuacanos. The archaeological site, part of the El Sitio reserve, is a national heritage site and provides a fascinating glimpse into Mexico's architectural past.
