The Acropolis of Athens is one of the most iconic landmarks in Greece, and the world. Constructed primarily between the 5th century BC and the 2nd century BC, these monuments are known for their intricate architecture and are some of the most visited landmarks in the city of Athens. It is also home to a range of museums, making it well worth a visit. The best way to explore the Acropolis is on foot, giving you the opportunity to wander through the maze-like corridors, admire the views and take in the incredible history from this ancient site.
