The Acquedotto Claudio and Viale Appio Claudio is an historical marvel in the city of Rome, Italy. Built in the 1st century by Emperor Claudius, the Acquedotto was the city's first water supply. Today, it is still in use as a major aqueduct, supplying the city of Rome with drinking water from the nearby Lake Bracciano.

The aqueduct is best viewed from the Viale Appio Claudio, a road splitting the aqueduct in two parts. Along the road walkers can observe in more than eight miles the impressive monuments that make up the aqueduct and appreciate its magnificence. Along the roadside of the road, oases of greenery invite to relax and admire the colossal arches and pillars of the aqueduct. Especially in spring, when nature is in bloom, the oases make this place an unforgettable experience. Viale Appio Claudio additionally serves as a hiking path and is a popular jogging route.It also is a great photography site, thanks to the imposing feel of Acquedotto Claudio.
