One of the most beloved attractions in Taiwan, the Wang Chuan Piau Pavilion, also known as the Zheng-Wang Fu, is steeped in history and culture. Built during the 18th century's Ching dynasty, the pavilion was once home to theTaiwanese-Chinese leader Zheng Chenggong. The Chinese-style architecture is a sight to behold, with its meticulously carved windows and its protective walls standing tall. The cranes and stone lions which flank the entrance add to the feeling of grandness, an ode to the glorious past of the empire. Visitors to the Zheng-Wang Fu can still view the beautiful temples dotting the grounds, and enjoy the pleasant lakefront views, as well as its abundance of greenery. It is definitely worth a visit while in Taiwan, to appreciate its many wonders.
