Shara Welt - Weltballon is a tethered hot air balloon located in in Berlin, Germany. It is nation-wide popular tourist attraction, that stands at a soaring height of 170 m (560 feet). Providing the structure of a helium-filled observation balloon, it offers wonderful, panoramic 360° views of the city. Inaugurated in 1965, it is part of Barkauer Open-Air Museum and a popular spot for thrill seekers eager to take in the breathtaking scenes surrounding them. There are several viewing galleries and other attractions, ranging from an aerial tramway to a playground for children and an exhibition hall. The balloon is open to the public from spring to autumn, subject to weather conditions.
