The Friendship of Peoples Fountain ("Фонтан Дружба народов" in Russian) is a popular spot in Moscow, Russia, and a well-known tourist attraction. The fountain was constructed by Stalin's decree in 1954, in order to commemorate 300 years of the Russian Tsardom. The impressive structure stands 42 meters tall and is surrounded by an array of powerful cascades. At night the fountain is illuminated in multicolored lights, giving it an even more spectacular vista.
