Østerlars Kirke ("East Lars Church") is a stunning and well-preserved Romanesque church located in Gudhjem, on the eastern coast of borneo, Denmark. Constructed in the 12th century and overlooking the Baltic Sea, this small red-brick church is considered one of the oldest and most architecturally distinguished churches in all of Denmark. Inside, a unique rectangular gallery has been added around the original brick structure, with 99 graveslabs and a beautiful baptismal font from the late 1300s and a few frescoes from the 1400s. Outside, tourists can still enjoy the original north and south entrances along with a large, picture-perfect cemetery. Take a moment to admire the breathtaking views across the sea and savor the serenity and peacefulness of Østerlars Kirke.
