The Victory Column, located in the center of Berlin, Germany, is an iconic monument celebrating the Prussian victory in the Danish-Prussian War between 1864 and 1866. The 68 meter tall monument has a grandiose base and a bronze sculpture of Victoria, the Roman goddess of victory. Built between 1864 and 1873, the monument was severely damaged during WWII, but has been restored. It is a popular tourist attraction and a great place for any photographer looking to get stunning views of Berlin. The column is surrounded by the Tiergarten Park where one can enjoy the nature and beautiful views in all directions. The column can also be reached by bus or metro very easily.
