Pigeon Point Lighthouse

Pigeon Point Lighthouse is a historic lighthouse built in 1871, located in Pescadero, United States. This beacon of light is considered one of the most striking lighthouses on the West Coast, with its signature black-and-white color scheme, towering 115-foot cast iron tower and fog signal station. Its light can be seen 20 miles out in the Pacific Ocean. The surrounding area is the Pigeon Point State Park, a popular spot for coastal strolls, beach access, bay and oceanview walking trails and picnicking. Birdwatching and whale watching are also popular pasttimes here. Be sure to bring your camera and go at low tide to view the largest colony of marine mammals in the mainland United States.
