Torre Civica di Bassano

The Torre Civica di Bassano is a magnificent medieval tower in Bassano del Grappa, Italy. Constructed at the beginning of the 13th century, it stands a proud beacon of the strong and proud history of the city. Its height is more than 50 metres and its walls are more than 3 metres thick. Located in the centre of Bassano, it offers a stunning view of the city and the rolling hills beyond. The Facciata della Torre is decorated with inscriptions, frescoes and crests that commemorate the Camino family. It also features an open arched aperture at the top of the tower where the bells of the city can be heard. Even today it remains an iconic symbol of Bassano del Grappa, and a must-see cultural attraction when visiting the city.
