Three Sisters

Three Sisters and Echo Point are two of the most-visited natural landmarks in Katoomba, Australia, nestled in the stunning Blue Mountains. Located just west of Sydney and set within a World Heritage Area, the Three Sisters are an iconic symbol of the Blue Mountains, a 300 million-year-old sandstone formation created by the erosion of the Jamison Valley. This contorted rock formation, reaching a height of 900m, is surrounded by lush eucalyptus forests and breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding area. Just metres away is Echo Point Lookout, where visitors are gifted with spectacular views of the famous Three Sisters and Jamison Valley, as well as stunning sunrises and sunsets. The trail further leads to the Giant Stairway, which descends over 800 steps into the depths of the Jamison Valley and offers panoramic views of the many sheer cliff faces and forest-covered mountains.
