The mosaic is believed to have been used when the river Thames was navigated by boats during Roman Britain in the 2nd century. The bright and colorful piece of art was discovered in 1998 by workers at the site now known as St. Paul's Cathedral, London. Although the original purpose of the mosaic is unknown, some believe it to be a navigational marker identified by six red and white tiles. The intricate symbol at its center has been interpreted as either a Christian cross or a Roman anchor. Today, visitors can take in the historic charm of Queenhithe Mosaic in the basement area of the Sir Christopher Wren Hotel, located just a few steps from the Thames.🗺 MapaZobrazit na mapě🎫 Turistické atrakcePodívejte se na turistické atrakce v okolí🏨 UbytovnyPodívejte se na hostely v okolí🌦 Informace o počasíZískejte informace o počasí a mnohem více z aplikace.
