Smith Rock State Park

Smith Rock State Park in Terrebonne, United States is known as the birthplace of modern American sport climbing. It offers spectacular scenery with towering columns of tuff and basalt, the Crooked River snaking through canyon, and views of snow-capped Cascade Mountains. With more than 1300 rock-climbing routes and plenty of other outdoor activities, from hiking and horseback riding to bird-watching, Smith Rock offers something for all. An Visitor Center provides maps and information about the park and its trails, and the nearby Guide Shop will help you find the route. Also, don’t forget to explore the four picnic areas and watch the wildflowers bloom in the spring.
