The Sengkang Floating Wetland, located in Singapore, is a unique environmental resource that allows visitors to connect with the waterways in urban Singapore. Created in 2014, the floating wetland is the nation's first-of-its-kind manmade floating ecological habitat. The 4,600 square-meter wetland is made up of eight interconnected rafts and platforms that are covered in over 100,000 mangrove and wetland plants. The wetland is home to a variety of local species, including fish, crabs, and terrapins. Visitors to the wetland can take a leisurely stroll along the platforms, take a dip in the waters, or simply sit back and relax near the cradle of nature. The floating wetland allows visitors to experience a moment of nature in its own habitat complemented by looming skyscrapers.
