Old City Hall is a historic government building in Toronto, Canada. Originally designed by prominent Canadian architect Edward James Lennox, it opened in 1899 and served as Toronto's City Hall until 1966. Located in the city's downtown core, the building is now owned by the city and houses the Superior Court of Justice. The sandstone exterior of the building is a defining feature that reflects the Romanesque Revival style that was popular in the late 19th century. Inside, the building features a large, domed rotunda, with intricate mosaics and stained-glass windows. The building is open to the public, who can enjoy its architecture or attend case hearings.
