Medeinė

Medeinė is a picturesque hilltop at the outskirts of Vilnius, Lithuania. It is an architectural and archaeological complex, which used to be an important defensive point. It's known for the perfectly preserved towers and walls that were built in 1495 by the Grand Duke Alexander and the Grand Duke Žygimantas the 2nd. They were meant for defense against invaders who wanted to trespass in the city. Explore the towers and walls that were constructed in Vilnius Renaissance style and also admire some nearby picturesque lakes from the observation tower.
