Established in 1958, this museum features 19th and 20th century houses and churches from the former townships of Druskininkai, Papile, Inkšničiai, Turgeliškės and their surroundings. The museum is spread over 4 hectares of land, with about 21 buildings and a reconstructed windmill, which is the last remaining windmill of the old Druskininkai. Interesting to see is an old steam-powered sawmill, which was in use until recently, as well as an ethnographic museum located in the old Evangelic Lutheran church. The museum also has an open-air stage where art and folklore festivals are held throughout the summer.
