Belfast City Hall

Belfast City Hall is one of the best-known landmarks in Northern Ireland. Situated in the heart of Belfast in Donegall Square, it was designed by the esteemed architect Sir Alfred Brumwell Thomas in the Edwardian Baroque style. It's a beautiful, ornate building, with a large central block and flanking wings. Inside, there is a beautiful circular hall and the city council chamber. It's one of the liveliest public places in town, and a great spot to people-watch. Head up the grand marble staircase for a view of the mayor's office and beautiful stained glass windows. The grounds are open all year and it's a great spot to soak up some of Belfast's rich history.
