Nocedo is a rural village located in the province of Asturias, Spain. It is nestled in a deep, lush valley of the same name, surrounded by primeval cork oak forests and studded with ancient megalithic rocks. It’s full of traditional small farms and friendly locals who continue to honor the predominantly agricultural life. Even in the oldest parts of the town, the architecture is charmingly rustic, showcasing the stone walls and slate roofs of yesteryear. St. James’ Way, the pilgrims’ trail to Santiago de Compostela, passes through Nocedo, and it serves as an entry point to the stunning Camin Real Pass, which cuts through the Somiedo Natural Park.
