Alte Brücke

Alte Brücke, or the old bridge, is a bridge crossing the River Neckar in Heidelberg, Germany. Constructed in the 14th century, it is the oldest bridge in Heidelberg, and is one of the most iconic images of the city. It is a prominent tourist attraction, offering stunning views of the city skyline and the castle perched atop the hillside. The bridge also serves as the starting point for a number of boat tours that explore Heidelberg’s rivers and canals. The bridge itself is a lovely sight to behold, featuring Baroque stone sculptures of Roman gods and goddesses, as well as intricate wrought iron lamps from the 17th century.
