African American History Memorial

The African American History Memorial in Austin, United States, is a moving and powerful public art installation dedicated to honouring African Americans who have made significant contributions to Texas throughout its history. This beautiful memorial plaza is centered around the "This Is Who I Am" sculpture by Perkins-Hobson Art Group, featuring seven African American figures surrounded by 35 granite benches. As a tribute, there is a moment of silence observed on the first Monday of every month at 12 noon.
