Acropolis - Z Filopappou hill, GreecezekareshAcropolis📍 Z Filopappou hill, GreeceThe Acropolis of Athens is a must-see in the Greek capital. Located on the rocky hill of the same name, the Acropolis is home to the greatest monuments of Ancient Greek architecture, dedicated to worshipping the gods of Olympus. One of the most impressive is the Parthenon, constructed between 447 - 438 B.C. Visit the Propylaea entrance gate with its imposing marble columns and the Temple of Athena Nike, perched above the entrance. Both are splendid spectacular sites. As well as the iconic monuments, make sure to take a stroll around the grounds to admire the remnants of the other temples and shrines, such as the Sanctuary of Asclepius and the Theatre of Dionysus. To continue the historical experience, adjacent to the Acropolis lies Filopappou Hill, commonly known as the Hill of the Muses. Built in honour of the Athenian aristocrat Julius Antiochus Philopappus, the hill provides breathtaking views of the Acropolis, Lycabettus Hill, the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Saronic Gulf. On the top of the hill, you'll find the 3rd century monument of Philopappus, as well as the modern Hill of Nymphs.TOP🗺 MapaZobrazit na mapě🎫 Turistické atrakcePodívejte se na turistické atrakce v okolí🏨 UbytovnyPodívejte se na hostely v okolí🌦 Informace o počasíZískejte informace o počasí a mnohem více z aplikace.
