Utkieker

Utkieker is a historical lighthouse built in 1858 on the Island of Spiekeroog, in Germany. The lighthouse can be found on a high dune plateau, surrounded by beautiful beach and rugged North Sea. Its red and white buildings and the popular staircase leading up to the top of the dune offer fantastic views over the Wadden Sea and a unique panorama of the larger neighboring islands. Visitors can use the lighthouse's spacious terrace, built in 2007, which provides stunning views, while romantic nooks, rustic wooden chairs as well as benches offer perfect spots for gazing off into the horizon. For hikers and explorers, there are walks and trails around Utkieker, as well as shortcuts on the beach for quicker access.
