Rama Lake is situated in the mountains of northern Bosnia & Herzegovina, about 28 miles west of the city of Banja Luka. The lake covers an area of 1,471 acres, making it one of the largest lakes in Bosnia & Herzegovina. It is surrounded by lush green forests punctuated by several small mountain villages. The lake is a popular destination for swimming, boating, and fishing, and the nearby forests offer plenty of opportunity for hikers and nature lovers. The lake itself is a great place for wildlife photography, with many species of birds, mammals, and fish, as well as an abundance of vegetation.
