Ponte Coperto, located in Pavia, Italy, is a picturesque 16th century brick bridge, also known as the Covered Bridge. It is the only bridge left in Pavia to have conserved its original structure since its construction in 1545, and it even survived a flood that destroyed the city in 1573. It is roughly 64 meters long, with three asymmetrical arches. In each direction, the bridge has a turret and a doorway, both decorated with stone carvings. This impressive piece of architecture is a favourite spot with photographers, who seek to capture this timeless piece of history. Today, Ponte Coperto provides beautiful backdrop for festivals and parades, such as the Notturno Culturale of Pavia, and even couples using the bridge as a backdrop for their pre-wedding pictures.
