
Pico de Estibafreda is an isolated peak in the Pyrenees Mountains located in Cerler, Spain. From the peak, you can get amazing views that go beyond the Spanish and French borders. On a clear day, you can see the highest peak in the Pyrenees, Aneto. The hike to the top of Pico de Estibafreda can be done in around 3 hours, depending on the difficulty of the route you choose. The landscape along the route consists of snow-covered mountains, valleys and forests full of native vegetation. During the hike, it’s also possible to visit old buildings like La Capelleta and the remains of an ancient Roman fortress. Cerler has a wide range of huts and shelters where you can take a rest and refuel before starting the descent back to the base. With its impressive landscapes and spectacular views, Pico de Estibafreda is a must-visit in the Pyrenees.
