Lago di Braies

Lago di Braies (Lake Prags) is nestled in the stunning Dolomites in northern Italy. Considered one of Italy’s most beautiful mountain lakes, it is a must-see for nature and outdoor lovers looking for spectacular scenery. The lake really stands out for its emerald green colour and peaceful surroundings which have been used as a backdrop for many films and television shows. The lake can be accessed from Prags, a small village at the foot of the mountains. From there, there is a gentle pathway that circles the entire lake, with stunning views of the mountain peaks and the stunning mountain scenery. Along the way you’ll find plenty of spots for photos, boating, bird-watching and swimming. There are also a number of small shops and cafes near the lake, plus a 26 room lakeside hotel. The lake can get quite busy during the summer months, so if you’re looking for some peace and tranquility, then come during the early spring or late fall.
