La Corbière

La Corbière is a coastal area in Jersey, featuring intermittently rugged and dramatically craggy cliffs, sandy beaches, rock pools and an historic lighthouse. It's located on the island's western coast and provides stunning views out to sea and of nearby islands. There's a tiny harbor – with crabbing and fishing boats moored there – and a number of lovely beaches nearby. Surfers will find good conditions at various times of the year, while the rock pools make great exploring for children. Farther inland, the quaint village of St. Aubin is only a short drive away, with traditional pubs and cafes, plus a harbor filled with sailing barges and heaters. La Corbière also makes a good base for exploring the rest of the island and its many attractions, including Jersey Zoo, the Jersey War Tunnels and the wonderful natural beauty of Royal Bay and Ouaisné Bay.
